What is a thermal flight?
The thermal flight goes looking for thermals: columns of warm air that let us gain altitude and extend the flight. Longer than the discovery flight, it suits those who want to gain height.

We chase the thermals to extend the flight and gain altitude.
Fifteen to twenty minutes in tandem, longer and more dynamic than the discovery flight.

The thermal flight is more dynamic than the discovery flight, with more turns and more sensations.
If conditions allow, you can try taking the controls for a moment, and ask for a few acrobatic manoeuvres for extra thrills, at no extra cost.
Big thrills or a ride through the sky: the thermal flight adapts to what you want.
Tighter turns and, if conditions allow, a few aerobatic manoeuvres, at no extra cost.
We circle calmly in the thermals to gain altitude and enjoy the view over the lakes.
The pilot picks the take-off site with the best thermal conditions of the day.
The pilot strings turns together to stay in rising air and gain altitude, then adapts the flight to what you want: thrills or a gentle ride.
Calmly, or with a few aerobatic manoeuvres to finish, as you prefer and if conditions allow.
The pilot captures the best moments of the flight and hands them over after landing.
Also ideal for a stag or hen party, or a company outing and team building.
We choose the take-off site based on the wind and the day's weather, around Lake Bourget and Lake Aiguebelette.
Choose a date and the number of participants: availability and payment happen right here.
The questions we're asked most before booking.
No, the pilot does the flying. If conditions allow, you can take the controls for a moment, but no physical effort is required. The sensations come from the turns and altitude changes.
Yes. Tell the pilot what you prefer before take-off: tight turns and aerobatics if conditions allow, or a calm ride in the thermals.
No, no experience is required. It's also a great next step after a discovery flight.
Yes, its thrills and the aerobatics on offer make it popular with groups. Contact us to organise flights for the whole group.
The stated duration is an average. It depends on the day's thermal conditions, which the pilot assesses in real time.
The meeting point is sent to you the day before by email and text message, depending on the day's weather. From there, we take you up to take-off by car or shuttle. Landing is at the meeting point: your friends and family can wait for you there, but they don't come up to take-off (there's no room in our vehicles).
If the weather doesn't allow a safe flight, it's rescheduled at no extra cost. On your side, let us know at least 48 hours ahead to change the date. Within 48 hours, the flight remains due, unless you have a valid reason (a medical certificate, for example).
