Applicable to every booking of a tandem paragliding flight or gift voucher on this website.

Découvrir les vols

1. Identification and preamble

These terms and conditions of sale are offered by Stéphane Angénieux, registered as a sole trader under French law (Entreprise individuelle (EI)), SIRET 814 438 750 00014. Phone: +33 7 46 09 28 76. Email: info@alpinefly.fr.

This website offers clients the booking of tandem paragliding flights, or the purchase of gift vouchers for tandem paragliding flights.

Before using this website, the client must ensure they have the technical means to use it and place an order, and that their browser allows secure access to the site.

2. Formation of the contract

Orders placed by the client through this website bind the client once validated on our partner booking platform (Izidoor), whose own terms and conditions of sale the client also accepts at the time of booking.

Once the order is placed online, the client receives an email acknowledging their order. Our booking partner issues the client a proof of payment linked to the purchase. As the service provider, AlpineFly can provide an invoice to the client on request, marked "paid".

Any order implies acceptance of these terms, which the client acknowledges having read. Each flight's page lets the client know the essential characteristics of the service they wish to order before the contract is concluded.

3. Conditions for carrying out the activity

The client is informed that the flight may be subject to changes, either due to an event beyond the provider's control (weather, organisational or operational conditions), or decisions made by the relevant authorities (safety). The client will be informed of any such changes wherever possible.

4. Insurance

Included insurance: the activity is covered by professional liability insurance, including basic bodily injury coverage.

Additional insurance: it is up to any client who considers the level of cover offered insufficient, given the activity and their personal circumstances, to take out additional cover of their own.

Prices are shown in euros. All orders, whatever their origin, are payable in euros. AlpineFly reserves the right to decline an order from a client who has not fully or partly settled a previous order, or with whom a payment dispute is ongoing.

5. Payment

Booking implies immediate payment, in full or in part, of the price. The client chooses a payment method among those offered: card (via Izidoor), cheque, or bank transfer. A payment card number, cheque or transfer does not settle the debt until it has actually been authorised, cleared or credited.

  • Card: payment is processed in a secure environment via Izidoor's payment system (Stripe), under its own terms of use. If payment authorisation is declined by the bank, the order is simply cancelled. The card number is never disclosed to us.
  • Cheque: in euros only, drawn on a French bank, made out to Stéphane Angénieux and sent to our correspondence address: Stéphane Angénieux — AlpineFly, 3371 Route de l'Épine, 73290 La Motte-Servolex, France.
  • Bank transfer: our bank details are sent to the client's email address to carry out the transfer.

6. Right of withdrawal

Undated service (gift voucher): French consumer law grants a 14-day right of withdrawal from the conclusion of the contract, allowing a refund (article L221-18 of the Consumer Code). This applies to the purchase of a gift voucher, valid for 12 months, which does not fix a flight date at the time of purchase.

Dated service (a flight booked for a specific date): under article L221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, leisure services that must be provided on a specific date or period are not covered by the right of withdrawal.

Any withdrawal must be made by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the following address: Stéphane Angénieux — AlpineFly, 3371 Route de l'Épine, 73290 La Motte-Servolex, France.

7. Cancellation and rescheduling

Cancellation by the client: any notice of cancellation or rescheduling must be given at least 48 hours before the flight, otherwise the booking will be considered due. Within that period, supporting evidence (a medical certificate or similar) may be requested.

Cancellation or rescheduling by us: we may exceptionally be required to cancel or reschedule the flight if safety or organisational conditions require it, or in the event of normally unforeseeable circumstances (weather). We cannot be held liable for this, and the flight will be rescheduled to a later date agreed with the client.

8. Flight sites and meeting time

The exact meeting time and location are sent by text message the day before the flight, after reviewing the latest weather forecast. Since paragliding is closely tied to weather conditions, it's essential to stay flexible on the time and flight site.

Depending on wind strength and direction, cloud cover, thermal potential and the risk of rain, the meeting point may be set at one of the following sites:

  • Revard landing site (Trévignin or Mouxy)
  • Vérel landing site (Sonnaz)
  • Sapenay landing site (Chindrieux)
  • Montlambert landing site (Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte)
  • Chamoux-sur-Gelon landing site
  • Aiguebelette landing site (Novalaise)

Unless stated otherwise, every booking implies the client's agreement to attend any of the sites listed above. If the client has a preference for a particular site, or access constraints, they must let us know by phone or email. We will then ask for several possible rescheduling dates, since not every site can be used every day depending on the weather.

Once the confirmation text message is sent the day before the flight, the meeting location can no longer be changed. Any cancellation motivated by the choice of flight site will not be refunded.

9. Photos and videos

AlpineFly may, subject to the client's consent, reserve the right to use photos and videos taken during the activity to promote its business on various platforms.

10. Changes to the programme

We may be required to change an element of the programme due to circumstances beyond our control, for weather-related reasons or the safety of participants. We cannot be held liable for this.

11. Complaints and mediation

For any complaint, please contact us directly using the details on the contact page. Under French law (article L616-1 of the Consumer Code), if a dispute cannot be resolved directly with us, the client may refer the matter free of charge, within one year of their written complaint, to the following consumer mediator:

A request can be filed online on the mediator's website or by post to the address above. The client may also use the European online dispute resolution platform.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.
